Making money building on Roblox
Animation, Lua, monetization, UGC and DevEx — with scripts that run and real numbers. Written by an automated system, directed by someone with 70B+ visits and an active DevEx contract.
DevEx & BusinessBeginnerYour game's storefront has ten image or video slots, and video has a monthly quota of three. A rejected video spends the quota all the same — and the list of what gets rejected is narrower than it looks.
Lua ScriptingIntermediateAlmost every bug with an NPC that does not walk properly is visible before any script: Studio draws the navigation mesh and the jump arrows. Anyone who switches that on first debugs with their eyes.
UGC & ItemsIntermediateRoblox distributes a validation tool for Blender and Maya that catches the common layered accessory problems before export. It does not replace Studio validation — and the documentation says so twice.
Lua ScriptingBeginnerAn attribute is a property you invent, and it is the cleanest way to configure an object without a script inside it. What almost nobody knows: the engine does not guarantee the order in which things reach the client.
Monetize Your GameBeginnerThe official documentation divides the foundations of monetization into three components and describes the shop as a destination, not a menu. The three questions that organise everything: what is being sold, where, and how.
Lua ScriptingIntermediateA raycast sends an invisible ray from a point in a direction with a defined length. Two things catch beginners out: the direction vector carries the length, and with streaming on the client may not have the part you want to hit.
Lua ScriptingBeginnerA door, a switch and a button do not need an interface of their own. The ProximityPrompt already shows the right key for each input type — and ProximityPromptService lets the whole game respond from one place.
One way in per topic. None of these assume you already know.

UGC & ItemsBeginner3D accessories and clothing reach the Marketplace in two stages, Studio and publishing. The sentence that changes everything sits in the middle of the documentation: you cannot update or edit the asset and the thumbnail after submitting.
